The ACC reportedly has an absurd plan for March Madness.

According to Jeff Goodman, the coaches in the conference want every single college basketball team in the country to make March Madness. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Yes, the ACC wants more than 300 teams playing for the national title.

As insane and wild as this plan sounds, there’s no way this should be allowed under any circumstances.

It’s one of the dumbest ideas that I’ve ever heard. What is the point of playing the regular season if every team makes March Madness?

We might as well just skip straight to the tournament.

The entire point of March Madness is that it’s supposed to be hard to make. It’s not supposed to be easy. If it was easy there’d be no point.

March Madness is special because teams grind it out all year for the honor of playing in the postseason. You can’t take that away from college basketball.

It’d make the tournament a lot less special.

I’m open to slightly altering March Madness during the coronavirus pandemic, but letting every team in is a whacked out idea.
