Recent election polling shows President Donald Trump in what is nearly a dead heat in Florida with Democratic nominee Joe Biden, due in part to an apparent surge in support from the Hispanic population in a pivotal swing state.

An Equis Research poll conducted at the end of August shows Biden holding a 16-point lead over Trump. However, the same poll indicated that Biden is faring poorer with likely Hispanic voters in Florida than Hillary Clinton was in 2016. Trump, according to the Equis poll, is two points ahead of his final 2016 numbers among Florida Hispanics. (RELATED: Poll Finds Strong Cuban Support For Trump In Critical Florida County)
