Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have shared the happy news that they are expecting their first child together.
In a statement from Buckingham Palace, the royal household shared that “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021.” The post was noted by People magazine in a piece published Friday. Princess Eugenie also shared the news on Instagram with a picture of her holding a pair of small fluffy slippers.

As the piece noted, the child will be the first grandchild for the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson and Duke of York Prince Andrew.
The baby will also be the ninth great-grandchild for Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.
It all comes after the royal couple tied the knot in 2018 at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle after dating for seven years.
