Actor Shia LaBeouf has allegedly been charged with petty theft and battery after he got into a physical altercation with a man back in June.

Things reportedly got physical between the two and after LaBeouf stole the man’s hat, according to an article published Thursday by TMZ. No injuries were reported and it is unclear what exactly started the physical fight, TMZ reported.

LaBeouf was charged after he was determined to have started the fight, according to the outlet. (RELATED: Shia LaBeouf Says Life ‘Gets Tricky’ When He’s Not On Set: ‘Life Gets Hard’)

The “Holes” star hasn’t been in trouble with the law since 2017. He was arrested for disorderly conduct, public intoxication and obstruction of justice at the time. LaBeouf even apologized on Twitter at the time.

“I am deeply ashamed of my behavior and make no excuses for it,” LaBeouf said. “I don’t know if these statements are too frequent, or not shared often enough, but I am certain my actions warrant a very sincere apology to the arresting offices, and I am grateful for their restraint. The severity of my behavior is not lost on me.”

“My outright disrespect for authority is problematic to say the least..” he continued.

LaBeouf later thanked the officer in an award speech for changing his life.

“I want to thank the police officer who arrested me in Georgia — for changing my life,” he said at the time, according to the New York Post.
