Arizona Wildcats football coach Kevin Sumlin has tested positive for coronavirus.
According to Pete Thamel and Brett McMurphy, the university announced Monday that the man tasked with leading the football program has tested positive for coronavirus. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
McMurphy reported that he’s in isolation and not experiencing symptoms.

Another day goes by in the world of sports, and coronavirus impacts another major figure. It just never ends with the chaos and carnage.
Luckily, it sounds like Sumlin is doing just fine and isn’t experiencing any problems.

The great news for Arizona is that the PAC-12 doesn’t start football until early November. That means Sumlin has plenty of time to heal up.
Even if he has to sit an entire two weeks before returning to the field, he’ll still have a decent amount of time to prepare for the November 7 opener against Utah.

There’s no reason to panic at all. It sounds like Sumlin is going to be okay, and the Wildcats should be ready for the PAC-12 to begin.
