Here’s Why Your Mail-In Ballot May Not Be Counted

The safety, security and reliability of mail-in voting has been the subject of a national debate which will likely continue well past Nov. 3. An astounding number of absentee and mail-in ballots have been requested and already submitted, but submitting your ballot is no guarantee that your vote will be counted.

There have been more than 1 million votes already cast in the 2020 election according to CNN, out of 30 million ballot requests. A majority of the ballots cast so far are from competitive swing states, specifically North Carolina and Wisconsin.
