Joy Behar worried Thursday that if President Donald Trump were to win reelection, it would mark the end of democracy.

During a segment of ABC daytime talk show “The View,” Behar urged voters not to “get complacent” just because it looked as though Biden would win. (RELATED: ‘Play A Dead Hand, Joe’: Joy Behar Says Biden Should Stonewall Voters, Democrats Should Pack The Court)

Cohost Whoopi Goldberg began the segment with a note about the fact that both Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden would be holding competing town halls Thursday evening. Biden is set to appear on ABC while Trump is scheduled to appear on NBC.

“It’s so insane out there,” Behar responded, saying that Trump would probably win in the ratings but that might not translate into him winning more votes come Election Day. “The ratings will probably go to the ‘stable genius’ because people prefer to watch a train wreck rather than watch, you know, say a course in civics.”

Behar went on to suggest that NBC — the network that aired Trump’s successful show “The Apprentice” — was effectively shilling for the president. She also suggested that there were more tapes like the “Access Hollywood” tape that was leaked just before the second presidential debate in 2016, arguing that NBC had failed to release those.

“If they really want to do the show, they should put in a laugh track because that is what watching Trump has become,” Behar continued. “It’s become a comedy show, and unfortunately people are dying.”

Behar then pivoted to say that she was getting worried about the election. “It looks like Biden’s going to pull it off, but people should not get complacent,” she said. “I worry about the possible four years of this, and it’s the end of democracy. It’s the end of this country, four more years of this. I believe that.”

“Especially when they own the Supreme Court and God forbid they take the Senate again, we’re doomed,” Behar concluded. “We’re doomed. People better go out there and vote. That’s all I have to say.”
