Wisconsin is expected to easily handle Nebraska this upcoming Saturday.

The Badgers opened as nine-point favorites against the Cornhuskers for when they travel to Lincoln for the Saturday afternoon game. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Wisconsin is coming off of a huge win over Illinois, and Nebraska opened the season with a loss to Ohio State.

It’s going to be fascinating to see what happens to this line if Graham Mertz actually has coronavirus.

Mertz tested positive on a rapid test Sunday, and the entire state of Wisconsin is now on pins and needles as we wait for the results of his second test.

If Mertz can’t go against the Cornhuskers, then third-string quarterback Chase Wolf will be under center.

While I believe Wolf can win games for the Badgers, getting your first career start on a few days notice in Lincoln, Nebraska, is a huge ask.

I’d expect the line to drop to about -1.5 in favor of Wisconsin. It’s going to plummet if Mertz can’t sling it Saturday.

Having said that, this is why you prepare to play at all times.

Let’s just all hope it’s a false positive and Mertz is under center Saturday against Nebraska. If not, Nebraska fans will be in their best position in a long time against Wisconsin. You can catch the game at 3:30 EST on FS1.
