Omaha Has 1 Electoral Vote. Why Did Trump Campaign There?

With polling and Electoral College maps increasingly showing narrow paths to reelection for President Donald Trump, including emerging battlegrounds in historically reliable red states, a single vote in Nebraska’s 2nd congressional district could prove pivotal.

NPR’s final pre-election map identifies seven toss-up states: Iowa, Ohio, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina. According to their analysis, even if Trump wins each toss-up state, he will still need to secure a victory in a state that is leaning toward Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
