New York Giants player Logan Ryan credited a team trainer with potentially saving his wife’s life.

In a video tweeted Thursday by @ESPNNFL, the Giants safety explained how a member of the training staff convinced his wife Ashley to go to an ER after she was experiencing stomach pains late at night. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Ryan explained it turned out to be a substantial medical emergency involving one of her eggs, and he said trainer Justin Maher’s advice to get to the ER “could have saved her life or saved a lot of internal bleeding.”

This is the stuff we love hearing in the world of sports. This is the kind of stuff that flies under the radar, but is super awesome.

You can tell that the Giants star is incredibly grateful for Maher’s advice, and he made that crystal clear to the media.

Thankfully, it sounds like his wife is going to be okay. It goes to show that sometimes, you can never be too careful when it comes to medical decisions.
