Actress Jennifer Lopez used her acceptance speech for the People’s Choice Award’s Icon of 2020 to inspire young girls.
Lopez accepted her award Sunday in a beautiful, bold, red dress. The “Hustlers” star received messages from actresses Renee Zellweger and Nicole Kidman before giving her acceptance speech. Lopez touched on how wild 2020 has been and inspiring young women in her speech.

“From being a little girl in the Bronx, New York, and having the privilege of performing on some of the biggest stages in the world … and even at the Super Bowl earlier this year (that was a biggie), I have seen and learned a lot and I am still learning,” Lopez said in her acceptance speech.

“The true measure is inspiring girls in all ages and all colors, from all over the world, to know you can do whatever want, as many things as you want and to be proud of who you are no matter where you come from,” Lopez said.
I am not surprised at all that Lopez won this award. She really is an icon at this point. Lopez has accomplished so many great things as an actress and she really has put herself out there as a role model for young women.
You really can do whatever you want as long as you put your mind to it and Lopez has really proved that.
