The PAC-12 is reportedly considering a major change to the football season.
According to The Mercury News, the conference has discussed letting teams play non-conference games if coronavirus causes cancelations between PAC-12 opponents. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
The league’s conferences and chancellors would need to approve the move, and it’s not known right now when that might happen.

I have mixed feelings on this idea. On one hand, I want as much football as possible to be played. If a game gets canceled because one team can’t play, then I want the healthy team to roll.
I think it’s very safe to assume that most fans agree with me.

However, aren’t we a shade late to the game on this call? We’re nearing the end of November and several games have already been canceled.
At this point, it seems like the time to make changes had come and gone. If the PAC-12 was going to make this call, it should have happened at the end of October at the latest.
The decision shouldn’t be coming as we near the end of November.

We’ll see what the PAC-12 decides to do, but this should have happened a month ago.
