Ivanka Trump took to Twitter to share her thoughts about two articles from The New York Times which address an investigation into potential financial impropriety by the Trumps.

Trump tweeted, “This is harassment pure and simple. This ‘inquiry’ by NYC democrats is 100% motivated by politics, publicity and rage. They know very well that there’s nothing here and that there was no tax benefit whatsoever. These politicians are simply ruthless,” in response to the article by The New York Times.

The first article details two ongoing investigations, one criminal and one civil, into the tax and financial records of President Trump’s business. The article reveals that the investigations have expanded to include tax write-offs of millions of dollars in consulting fees, which appear to go to Ivanka Trump.

Trump then addressed another article from The New York Times, tweeting “This fishing expedition is very clearly part of a continued political vendetta” (RELATED: Trump Tax Write-Offs Now On The Table For New York Tax Fraud Investigation)

The second article addresses Letitia James, the new New York Attorney General and her targeting of the President. James has promised to be every bit as aggressive in prosecuting the president as the previous attorney generals were, The New York Times reported.

James has made it no secret how she feels about President Donald Trump, having called him an “illegitimate president.” James suggests that Trump be tried on obstruction to justice, and for money laundering.

Currently, President Trump has yet to concede the election to Democratic presidential challenger and former Vice President Joe Biden as the Trump campaign seeks lawsuits in various states.
