Tennessee basketball coach Rick Barnes has reportedly tested positive for coronavirus.

According to Gary Parish, the Volunteers have suspended all basketball activities because of positive coronavirus tests, and Barnes is among the positive cases. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Tennessee opens the season Wednesday against Charlotte.

Another day in the world of sports, and we have another unfortunate story on our hands thanks to coronavirus. It truly never ends.

This is also really bad news for Tennessee because they’re slated to open the season in a couple days.

You have to imagine that the game against Charlotte is at major risk of not happening. I mean, it’s Wednesday, and Tennessee isn’t even practicing.

If they’re not practicing, then how the hell are the Vols supposed to suit up and play in a little more than 48 hours?

That seems like a major problem.

Let’s hope Barnes makes a quick recovery and the Volunteers are on the court sooner than later. The last thing we need is basketball teams falling apart.
