The Green Bay Packers beating the Chicago Bears 41-25 Sunday night put up some monster TV ratings.

According to ShowBuzzDaily.com, the game between the two NFC North teams peaked with an average of 16.225 million viewers on NBC. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

That’s the kind of audience that the NFL loves to see!

As I’ve said before, the ratings have been a shade inconsistent this season for the NFL, but you know damn well Roger Goodell is smiling ear-to-ear over the numbers from “Sunday Night Football.”

Whenever a primetime gets monster TV ratings, then you know business is booming for the NFL.

It’s also not hard to see why the game between the Bears and Packers put up such gigantic numbers. It’s one of the most bitter rivalries in all of pro sports.

Fans of the two franchises don’t just dislike each other. They absolutely despise and hate each other. That makes for a great football atmosphere.
