Auburn Vs. Alabama Was The Most-Watched College Football Game Of The Weekend

Alabama beating Auburn put up some huge TV ratings this past weekend.

According to ShowBuzzDaily.com, the 42-13 blowout win for the Crimson Tide averaged 6.656 million viewers on CBS. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

That number was more than enough to make it the most-watched game of the weekend. Notre Dame vs. North Carolina was second with an average of 6.075  million viewers on ABC.

I’m not surprised at all that the game put up such gigantic numbers on CBS. In fact, I would have been surprised if it didn’t.

I was up in New York this past Saturday, and the one game I wanted to watch was the Auburn/Alabama game.

Why? Well, why the hell wouldn’t a college football fan want to catch that matchup? It’s a historic rivalry, Auburn was trying to spoil Alabama’s season and Nick Saban was out because of coronavirus.

There were huge storylines all over the place for the monster SEC matchup. Clearly, a lot of people agree because the ratings were huge.
