‘Big Gretch’ Beer, In Support Of Michigan Gov. Whitmer, Sells Out In Minutes

The owner of a brewery in Michigan said he created a beer to show support to Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer amid the pandemic and it sold out in minutes.

The petite sour saison, from the Rake Beer Project in Muskegon, titled “Big Gretch: The Return” hit the shelves and the owner said in nine minutes they had sold out all of the brew they had made, according to Michigan Live in a piece published Wednesday.  (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

“All 40 cases were gone in 9 minutes,” owner Josh Rake told the outlet. “(It’s) the largest release we have ever done.” (RELATED: Virginia Brewery Offers $20K A Year For Gig Hiking And Drinking Beer)

In a post on the beer company’s Instagram page, the brewery issued an apology to all those who “were unable to get some” and said they would take it as a “learning experience going forward.”
