Rapper Cardi B said she would not apologize Sunday after she asked her Twitter followers if she should purchase an $88,000 purse.

Cardi’s question was considered “deeply insensitive and unnecessary” by reporter Yashar Ali and others on Twitter.

“It doesn’t matter how much money you give away, tweeting about buying an $88,000 purse in the midst of a pandemic where people are skipping meals and terrified that they’ll be evicted, is deeply insensitive and unnecessary,” Ali tweeted.

Cardi hit back by reminding everyone she has donated money amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. (RELATED: Cardi B Apologizes For Having 37 Guests At Her Thanksgiving)

“Go cry about it,” Cardi responded. “I never seen u tweet about me when I donated a million dollar twice now you here. I didn’t offended no body, didn’t do nothing illegal .Im not going to apologize because I work my ass off and I ask MY FANS! Which ARE MY FRIENDS A QUESTION! Ya want to be hurt so bad.”

Cardi also said she is “getting scared to tweet.”

“BRO ALL I DID WAS ASK ABOUT A FUCKIN PURSE !” she later added. “ooommggggg I’m getting scared to tweet bro.Im just going to tweet by bible quotes here.”

Honestly, I know a lot of people don’t like Cardi, but she really does take the most sh*t on Twitter and Instagram. People love to hate on her. If she can afford to buy an $88,000 purse, then she should buy it.

She even went on to tell her followers that if they donated to charity and sent her the receipt that she would match the donation.

Why do people care so much what others share and don’t share on the internet?

It’s also unclear if Cardi ever bought the purse.
