Former “Baywatch” star and current game show host Brooke Burns said it’d be “an honor” to host “Jeopardy!”

Chat boards discussing the upcoming replacement suggested Burns, who hosts “Master Mind,” would be a good replacement for Alex Trebek on “Jeopardy!,” according to an interview published Wednesday by Fox News.

“Oh, that’s so kind,” Burns told the outlet about being suggested to host the game show. “Of course, I love hosting trivia, so that would be an honor. I know they were looking at a couple of guest posts and my dear friend, Mr. Ken Jennings, I think is first in line for that. But if they want a female to come on and test it out once in a while, I think that would be quite an honor.”

I’ve never seen Burns in action on “Master Mind,” but she couldn’t be too terrible as a game show host. (RELATED: Jane Lynch Says She Would ‘Jump At The Chance’ To Be The Next Host Of ‘Jeopardy!’)

Burns got into game show hosting after her role on “Baywatch.” She told Fox News that the hosting gig allows her to spend long periods of time with her children.

“It was surprising, to be honest,” Burns told the outlet about getting into game show hosting. “It was definitely something out of left field. I didn’t grow up thinking, ‘I’m going to be hosting trivia game shows.’ But I love it.”

Of course, nobody wants to see Trebek replaced, but the show must go on. Burns could be a great match and it’d be fun to see a female take on the role.
