A homeless man in Florida was trapped in a creek for two days after trying to bathe in the creek, Fox 13 reported.

Police responded to a call from a resident around 1:30 a.m. after hearing someone yelling for help on the other side of the road.

The responding Manatee County deputy reportedly searched through the woods and found a partially-clothed man underneath a railroad bridge.

The homeless man allegedly could not move and claimed he was stuck in the creek for two days. (RELATED: ‘He Couldn’t Move’: Man Rescued After Being Stranded In Forest For 14 Days)

Deputies then used blankets to carry the man down the railroad track to more help, Fox 13 reports.

“His skin is literally peeling off of his feet,” one deputy reportedly said during the rescue.

The man reportedly told deputies that he called for help many times during the two days, but nobody responded to his calls for help.

The unidentified man was taken to a nearby hospital after showing early stages of hypothermia and parts of his body being water-logged due to the incident.
