Reality TV star Kim Kardashian urged President Donald Trump on Wednesday to commute the sentence of Brandon Bernard at the last minute.

Bernard is scheduled to be executed Thursday after being convicted of murdering two people in 1999.

“Brandon Bernard, a 40-year-old father is going to be executed tomorrow by our federal government,” Kardashian wrote on Twitter. “Having gotten to know Brandon, I am heartbroken about this execution. I’m calling on @realDonaldTrump to grant Brandon a commutation and allow him to live out his sentence in prison.” (RELATED: Kim Kardashian Warned Her Reputation Would Be Destroyed If She Worked With Trump, She Did It Anyway)

Kardashian previously shared Bernard’s story to her Twitter followers.

“A terrible case has been brought to my attention and I need your help,” Kardashian tweeted on Nov. 29. “Without it, on December 12th Brandon Bernard is going to be executed for a crime he participated in as a teenager.”

Bernard was 18 years old at the time of the murders he was convicted for. Other participants of the crime were under the age of 18 and not eligible for the death penalty. Bernard allegedly did not kill the two people during the attempted carjacking, but set fire to the car after the victims were shot, according to the Daily Beast.

Advocates for Bernard have claimed that prosecutors withheld evidence that would have shown that Bernard was a low-ranking member of a gang allegedly responsible for the deaths of Todd and Stacie Bagley, the outlet reported.

Another man, Christopher Vialva, who was convicted of shooting the victims was executed in September, according to the New York Times.
