Haley said Nelson was someone who “ministered to many inside and outside the church.”

Nelson, 53, of West Milton, Ohio, was remembered as a beautiful singer and a loving wife, as well as “a perfect example of what a mother should be,” according to an online obituary.

She loved God, her family & all who knew her,” Haley said in the tweet. “She will be missed.”

Nelson is survived by her husband and their three children, as well as many other family members and friends.
