Reality star Jacob Roloff accused “Little People, Big World” producer Chris Cardamone of molesting him.

Roloff, who appeared on the show from 2005 until last year, claimed he went through a “long grooming process” before being allegedly molested by Cardamone, according to a statement the star shared Wednesday on Twitter.

“I do not expect to provide details of this encounter at any point publicly,” Roloff said in his statement. “I do hope he is never allowed around children again.”

Roloff claimed he first thought to go public with the alleged molestation after Cardamone texted him in 2015, years after the event. He chose to go public now in order to “be exorcised of any further power over my development.” (RELATED: Here’s Why Matthew McConaughey Gave No Details Of His Sexual Abuse Allegations In His New Memoir)

“By revealing this, I may be more fully understood and my perspective on issues such as child sexual abuse, child exploitation, and the collateral costs of reality television may be received more clearly,” he continued. “Although, I would have to add that this experience has not solely defined my point of view on any of these issues, nor has it defined my worldview in general.”

Roloff concluded his statement by criticizing reality television, which he called “a massive spectacle of drama and pain and argument and invasion, with a little joy sprinkled over.”
