An on-duty deputy at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department had his mic on while having sex near the Bates Motel section of the Universal Studios parking lot, TMZ reported.
A woman could be heard exclaiming through the deputy’s mic.
The deputy, who has since been taken off duty, did not respond to his coworker as she warned him about the open mic audio recording, according to TMZ. (RELATED: Sebelius on open mic: ‘Don’t do this to me’)
The incident reportedly occured near the Bate Motel section of Universal Studios. The hotel set was made famous in the 1960 horror film “Psycho” directed by Alfred Hitchcock. It’s not clear if the deputy, who has yet to be identified, was in his patrol cruiser or outside the vehicle during the interaction, according to The New York Post.
The Sheriff’s Dept. told TMZ, “The deputy was immediately relieved of duty and an administrative investigation has been opened. The deputy’s peace officer’s powers have been suspended and the proper administrative action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.”
