Amazon’s expansion into new retail since the company was founded in 1994 has made the company one of the most valuable in the world, FXSSI reported. However, the company is throwing around its market power in ways that have come to anger some of the site’s competitors, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Jeff Bezos, the company’s founder, started the company out of a garage in Bellevue, Washington in 1994, according to Fox Business. In the beginning, Bezos and his core staff focused on books, but their ambition from the start was to expand into other markets to make Amazon “an everything store,” according to Business Insider.
