Boston University and Holy Cross basketball players rocked masks during their Monday game.
During the matchup between the Terriers and Crusaders, the players had to wear masks while actually running around on the court! (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Okay, this is officially insanity. This is just straight up insanity. What science supports wearing a mask while playing sports?
For those who don’t know, there’s actually been extensive research into this issue by the NFL, and the league found no evidence to support being on the field leads to getting coronavirus.
Slight correction to this:
Boston University will wear masks today, but Holy Cross will not since it’s at Holy Cross.
BU mandates their opponents wear them when playing at BU (their campus rule). https://t.co/PKq5eEoiks

So, I’m really failing to see why players have to wear masks while running around a basketball court. Has there been a single case of on-court transmission in college basketball?
If there is, I haven’t found it anywhere on the internet.

Seriously, what are we doing here, folks? It seems like we’re just doing things because it makes us feel good or safer, but there’s no evidence to suggest any of this is actually helping. Let us know what you think of the masks in the comments below!
