In the waning days of President Donald Trump’s administration, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is taking steps to increase governmental transparency and accountability, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The EPA has announced that new rules will give preference to studies that publish their underlying data in public health decision making and policy formulating, according to the Wall Street Journal. The Trump administration started pushing for these reforms from the EPA early in Trump’s presidency, but has received resistance from the scientific policy-making establishment, the Wall Street Journal report claimed.
