A laptop was reportedly stolen from Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s office during Wednesday’s riot.

One of her aides said Friday that the laptop had been stolen when a mob of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building, Reuters reported. Pelosi’s Deputy Chief of Staff Drew Hammill said Friday that the laptop was only used for presentations and that it was stolen from a conference room.

Democratic Oregon Sen. Jeff Merkley said Thursday on Twitter that a laptop was also stolen from his office. A video posted by Merekley showed extensive damage to his office, including artwork that had been ripped off the wall, furniture that was broken and cigarette butts that had been left behind. A riot erupted Wednesday after Trump supporters gathered in Washington, D.C., to protest the certification of the Electoral College votes. The rioters breached a door to the building and scaled scaffolding that was set up for the inauguration. Lawmakers who were meeting that day to certify the Electoral College votes were forced to evacuate.

Photos and videos showed extensive damage to the Capitol. Rioters left behind trash, flags and signs around the Capitol Rotunda and rummaged through the desks of several officials after breaking into their offices. Videos showed that brawls broke out between law enforcement and rioters and tear gas was deployed once police were able to enter the building.

Five people died during Wednesday’s riot, including Brian Sicknick, a Capitol Police officer who reportedly died from his injuries while engaging with rioters. Another woman, 35-year-old Ashli Babbitt, was shot in the neck by law enforcement and later died from her injuries. The other three deaths – 50-year-old Benjamin Phillips, 34-year-old Rosanne Boylan and 55-year-old Kevin Greeson – were reportedly due to “medical emergencies” that occurred during the riot.
