Ricky Gervais said when he dies he wants his body to be fed to the lions at the London Zoo — however, the zoo has since rejected his wish.

“It thought it would be good to be just fed to the  lions at London Zoo,” the 59-year-old comedian shared during his appearance on the “Conan” talk show. The comments were noted by the Daily Mail in a piece published Friday. (RELATED: Ricky Gervais Blasts The ‘New Weird Sort Of Fascism’ Of Targeting ‘Hate Speech’)

“Because we never give anything back,” he added. “We take everything from this world. … Everything we do is for us.”

“We eat animals. Anything that moves, we eat, we destroy, deforestation, we don’t give anything back. Everything we do is for us. We’re not even food for other things, so I just thought, at least then I’d be giving something back,” he continued.  (RELATED: Ricky Gervais Hits Celebrities With Joke About Diversity Following ‘I Take Responsibility’ Anti-Racism Video)

The “After Life” star then said he liked imagining the look on observers’ faces.

“Also, I’d like the look on the tourists’ faces when they just throw this dead, fat man, naked — 73-year-old, maybe, if I’m lucky — and as it lands, some people go, ‘Is that the bloke from The Office?'” Gervais said.

“I’m resigned to it,” he reportedly added. “We’re all going to die. I don’t care about being dead because I won’t know about it.”

Chief Operating Officer at the London Zoo Kathryn England has reportedly declined his offer and suggested a financial donation instead, as the zoo is struggling amid to the pandemic.

“I suspect Ricky may be a bit gristly for our lions,” England told the outlet.

“But we are struggling financially because of lockdown so if anyone wants to ‘give something back’ we welcome donations that will help us keep our lions fed on a more suitable diet,” she added.
