The Detroit Lions have reportedly hired Brad Holmes as the new general manager of the franchise.

According to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Holmes has agreed to a five-year deal to take over the Lions. He is coming from the Rams as their director of college scouting. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Admittedly, I don’t know anything about Holmes. Literally nothing at all. I didn’t even know he existed until the Lions grabbed him up.

It seems like the Ford family went deep into the bullpen to find the next GM.

Having said that, I’m okay with anyone who can take control of the situation and bring Detroit some glory. I don’t care if we hired a damn janitor as long as he can build a winning team.

Clearly, the Lions have all the confidence in the world in Holmes because they just handed him a monster promotion over his position with the Rams.

I’m choosing to be optimistic here! Holmes has my full support as of right now, and I’m buying into whatever he’s selling. It’s time for a fresh start! Now, let’s go get a head coach!
