President-elect Joe Biden blasted the Trump administration’s vaccine rollout as a “dismal failure,” echoing similar denunciations from various state leaders. The Biden team plans to vaccinate more than 50 million Americans in its first 100 days.

President Donald Trump’s administration originally set a goal to vaccinate 20 million Americans by the end of 2020; by that point, roughly 2.8 million vaccinations were administered. Current data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows to-date that more than 31 million doses of the COVID-19 were distributed, while nearly 12.3 million vaccines have been given.
