The Houston Texans reportedly don’t see Tua Tagovailoa as a solid trade option for Deshaun Watson.

There is nonstop chatter about the Texans dealing their disgruntled passer, and Miami seems to be a destination that’s often mentioned because Tua could just go to Houston. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

However, it might not be that simple. According to the Houston Chronicle, the Texans don’t see the former Alabama star “as an adequate replacement for Watson.”

The Houston Chronicle reported that it’s more likely Watson would be replaced with a top draft pick than with Tua.

While I think Tua is a hell of a guy and has a bright future, I agree 100% with this assessment. He’s not even close to being the same caliber of player right now.

Going from Watson to Tua would be a gigantic downgrade for the Texans and a huge upgrade for the Dolphins.

Let’s not forget that Tua struggled so much at times during his rookie campaign that he needed to be benched for Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Do you think the Texans ever thought about benching Deshaun Watson? Hell no.

It looks like the Dolphins might be falling out of the race. Onto the next one for Deshaun!
