Police in France arrested partygoers at a warehouse in Collegien, France, on Friday, according to The Independent.

Officials were alerted to a party where members were engaged in an orgy. Nearly 81 people were fined €135 for breaking the curfew and three suspected organizers were taken in for questioning, The Independent reported.

France has a coronavirus curfew in place from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. that prohibits people from leaving their residence unless they have an exemption or are “commuting to and from work or school,” have “medical appointments, or “essential family reasons,” according to an announcement from the French government.

Alcohol, sound systems and other equipment were confiscated in the raid, according to The Independent.

“The event was in breach of the curfew, and there were also problems with masks and social distancing. Those involved in the libertine party cooperated with the police, and there was no resistance to the police,” a source told The Sun. Orgies are legal in France, but according to scientists, there is a high chance of contracting COVID-19 from an infected person while engaging in sex, The Daily Mail reported.

France24, a French international news channel, tweeted that the country is currently limited travel to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

France’s COVID-19 levels are currently at a four which signifies a high number of cases in the country and it is recommended that travel should be avoided, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
