A Tennessee man allegedly shot his father in the back of the head after an argument over hair clippers per local outlet WKRN.

Law enforcement officers on Jan. 26 responded around 1 a.m. after a reported shooting on Horton Avenue off 12th Avenue South in the Edgehill community of Nashville, according to WKRN.

First responders transported the 56-year-old victim to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment where his condition was described as critical, according to WKRN.

A doctor treating the victim described the bullet as having travelled from the back of the head towards the front of the face, breaking his jaw, according to WKRN.

The severity of the injuries, according to WKRN, has rendered the victim unable to undergo an interview with the police.

A witness, according to a warrant per WKRN, described Corey Crockett as having an argument with his father over the hair clippers inside the living room of the apartment. The witness then described the argument as continuing with the father and son moving to the front of the apartment before a gunshot was heard.

Law enforcement arrested Crockett on Sunday and booked him into jail where his bond has been set at $1 million. (RELATED: Father Shoots Daughter’s Boyfriend After He Allegedly Attacks Family)
