Democrats are entering the 2022 election cycle not only in control of the White House, Senate and House, but flush with cash.

Former President Barack Obama infamously put his own organization over the Democratic National Committee (DNC) when he was the leader of the Democratic party, and put the Democratic party in a tough financial position that led to a number of electoral defeats. Since Obama left office, the DNC has been trying to crawl back into good financial standing. Thanks to fundraising spurred on by President Joe Biden’s campaign and ultimate defeat of former President Donald Trump, the DNC is looking to enter the 2022 election cycle on nearly equal financial footing with Republicans.
