Nick Cannon To Return To TV Hosting Gig After Apologizing For Anti-Semitic Comments

Nick Cannon will return to hosting the TV show “Wild ‘N Out” after apologizing for making anti-Semitic comments.

The 40-year-old performer will appear once again as host of the VH1 show after being fired last year by the network’s parent company ViacomCBS over anti-Semitic remarks he made on his podcast, according to Page Six in a piece published Friday. On his “Cannon’s Class” podcast, Cannon characterized people with a “lack of pigment” as “the true savages” and “closer to animals,” said black people are the “true Hebrews” and spoke positively about Louis Farrakhan, the Nation of Islam leader.(RELATED: Nick Cannon Sits Down With Rabbi Following Anti-Semitic Rant)

After Cannon was fired, he apologized on social media and later sat down with Rabbi Abraham Cooper.

“Nick has not only apologized and taken responsibility for his comments, but he has also worked to educate himself and others through engagement with Jewish leaders and on his platforms,” a spokesperson for the MTV Entertainment Group told Entertainment Tonight about his return. “Those efforts are of the utmost importance and that’s why we have invited him to rejoin our team,” the spokesperson added.
