Florida basketball star Keyontae Johnson believes he’ll eventually be able to return to the court.

Johnson collapsed during a December game against Florida State, and he hasn’t played a second of basketball since. Yet, he thinks he still has a career ahead of him. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

“I do. Right now, until the doctors say other otherwise, I’m going to stick with the positive mindset that I’m playing again. Some time. Yes, I do,” Johnson responded when asked by FloridaGators.com if he thinks he’ll play basketball again.

It’s also worth noting that despite initial concerns, Johnson’s collapse had absolutely nothing to do with coronavirus.

He had a heart issue, but it had nothing to do with COVID-19, which is good news.

Now, the Florida superstar is sitting out the rest of the season and gunning to return at some point down the road.

As long as he’s safe, puts in the work and keeps a positive attitude, then it’s hard to see how he doesn’t eventually return.

Obviously, it’s a long road back to playing at a high level, but it sounds like he wants to get the job done.
