Bill Burr defended his former “Mandalorian” costar Gina Carano and said he has to “watch what the fuck” he says since he was still on that show.

“How do you hold up… judging somebody that harshly?” Bill said on a recent episode of his podcast regarding the recent firing of Carano in February by Disney Plus.

“I’m not talking about the hardcore shit like sexual assault and rape and stuff … Now, it’s becoming, like, ‘Hey, you made an ignorant comparison—there goes your dream.’ I look at that and say, ‘Who the fuck stands up to that?'” (RELATED: Ted Cruz: ‘Of Course Disney Cancelled’ Gina Carano)

Carano was fired due to comments on social media which made a comparison between Nazi hatred of Jews and hating someone based solely on their political views.

“Most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews,” Carano said. “How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?” (RELATED: Gina Carano Fired From ‘The Mandalorian’ After Social Media Post Involving Jews In The Holocaust)

“Unless [Carano] did some truly horrible shit or said overtly racist shit … I don’t know,” Burr said.

The superstar comedian noted that because he’s also on the hit “Star Wars” series, now, he’s “gotta watch what the fuck” he says. (REVIEW: ‘The Mandalorian’ On Disney+ Is A Must Watch Show For ‘Star Wars’ Fans)

“She was an absolute sweetheart. Super nice fucking person,” the comedian said about his former colleague at “The Mandalorian.”
