Chaos has consumed Kansas, and Jeff Long is reportedly now out.

According to Brett McMurphy, the athletic director is no longer leading the Jayhawks after the program and former football coach Les Miles went their separate directions. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Miles parted ways with the Jayhawks after allegations of misconduct while at LSU in 2013 became public. Long was the man responsible for bringing Miles to Lawrence, Kansas.

The hits just keep on coming for the Kansas Jayhawks. Just in case you didn’t think things were bad, this should eliminate any doubt.

A week ago, everything was fine for the most part. They weren’t winning football games, but things were fine.

Now, it’s Wednesday, and the head football coach and the athletic director responsible for hiring him is gone with him.

I think it’s fair to say we all knew this was coming. The moment Miles was out, we all knew Long likely wasn’t far behind.

Now, it’s reportedly a done deal.

What an absolute disaster of a situation for everyone involved.
