It looks like we’re at least two more years away from getting a new college football video game.
According to Matt Brown, documents sent to FBS programs claim that the release date of “EA Sports College Football” is July 2023. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
That means we’re more than two years away from the return of the greatest video game on the planet.

According to internal documentation from CLC that I obtained via Open Records request, the CLC told FBS institutions that EA Sports intends to release the new video game in “July of 2023”.

Damn, that’s a lot longer than a lot of us were hoping for, but it’s also not the worst news possible. There have been programs that don’t want any part of the game until players can be paid.

That won’t be happening in the next few months, but it 100% will probably be possibly by July 2023. That means schools won’t have to boycott the game.
We’re much more likely to have every single FBS team in the game by the time July 2023 rolls around than we would if the game came out in summer 2022.

Overall, I’m just super excited to get my hands on “EA Sports College Football” whenever it comes out. I used to play “NCAA Football” all the time in college.
It was the only video game I’d play, and I’d crush beers as I won national titles. There was nothing like it!
