Matthew McConaughey has put together an awesome concert to help people in Texas.

The legendary “True Detective” actor announced early Friday morning that he’s put together the “We’re Texas” virtual benefit concert for March 21. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The event is described as “a virtual revival where we can all come together to help Texas recover from the winter storm.” Don Henley, Kelly Clarkson, George Strait, Miranda Lambert, Post Malone, Willie Nelson and others will participate.

The concert will stream on McConaughey’s YouTube page and “100% of all the donations will benefit so many organizations on the ground now and in the months to come.”

That is a murderer’s row lineup of music talent. In terms of a benefit concert, I find it hard to believe that you can find a better lineup.

Did you ever think that you’d see George Strait and Post Malone at the same concert? Well, they’re coming together for Texas!

Texas was absolutely hammered by horribly cold weather back in February, and the state suffered extensive damage.

It was a brutal situation, and the citizens of the great state need all the help they can get. Well, McConaughey and a bunch of other people with resources are stepping up to help.

This is what America is all about! In times of great need, we step up to help each other.

Props to McConaughey for stepping up and helping out his fellow Texans in need. The dude is truly the man, and we could use a few more men like him in America.
