ANALYSIS: Biden Scrapped These Major Trump Border Policies Before The Crisis Started

President Joe Biden’s White House press secretary Jen Psaki at long last acknowledged the “crisis” at the U.S.-Mexico border during an apparent slip-up at a Thursday press briefing, though she did almost immediately correct herself.

In addition to an ongoing battle over the language used to describe the crisis, the Biden administration has also tried to shunt responsibility to former President Donald Trump — despite Biden’s own core policy moves being the problem. When Biden got into office, he attempted to put in place a 100-day deportation moratorium before a Texas judge ruled against it. Biden also put an end to the Trump administration’s “remain in Mexico” policy and Safe Third Country Agreements, among others.
