Dr. Mehmet Oz confirmed Monday that he will be hosting “Jeopardy!”

Dr. Oz will host the game show starting Monday evening and will continue the role for the next two weeks, Fox News reported.

Dr. Oz confirmed his start on the game show on his personal Twitter account.

“Tonight (and for the next two weeks), I have the great honor and privilege of guest hosting @Jeopardy!” Dr. Oz wrote. “Make sure to tune in.” (RELATED: ‘Jeopardy!’ Announces New Line-Up Of Guest Hosts)

Since Alex Trebek’s passing from pancreatic cancer, guest hosts have filled in the role on a rotation. Former “Jeopardy!” champion Ken Jennings, “Jeopardy!” executive producer Mike Richards and journalist Katie Couric have all taken on the role so far.

As previously reported, journalists Anderson Cooper, Savannah Guthrie and Dr. Sanjay Gupta will also guest host at some point. Each guest host chooses a charity the cumulative amount of winnings for their tenure will go to.

I’m really excited to see how well Dr. Oz does. I think he might be a great fit for a show like “Jeopardy!” and I really would like them to hurry up and pick a new permanent host. Although, having rotating hosts is fun too.

Maybe they’ll keep this going after they pick a permanent host. “Jeopardy!” could have one guest host the show for a week each month. That’d be pretty fun to watch and would keep things interesting.
