HBO’s new series “The Nevers” looks very intriguing.

The plot of the series, according to the trailer’s description, is as follows:

Victorian London is rocked to its foundations by a supernatural event that gives certain people — mostly women — abnormal abilities, from the wondrous to the disturbing. But no matter their particular “turns,” all who belong to this new underclass are in grave danger. It falls to mysterious, quick-fisted widow Amalia True (Laura Donnelly) and brilliant young inventor Penance Adair (Ann Skelly) to protect and shelter these gifted “orphans.” To do so, they will have to face the brutal forces determined to annihilate their kind.

The trailer paints the picture of a show unlike anything we’ve seen before from the network, and I say that as a compliment. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Give it a watch below.

Okay, I’m in. I’m 100% in on “The Nevers.” I really don’t even need to see another trailer. You can sign me up for the April 11th premiere.

There is no network on the planet that does sci-fi/fantasy and dark content as well as HBO does. Netflix pumps out some great stuff, but when we’re talking specifically about those kinds of shows, HBO is the king.

“Westworld,” “Game of Thrones” and “True Detective” were all dark and outstanding. Obviously, the last one isn’t sci-fi or fantasy, but the dark tag still applies.

Now, HBO is bringing us this mysterious show about people who are “touched” and the sinister forces swirling around them. What more could you want?
