Body camera footage from Marcus Hooker’s arrest has been released, and it’s nuts.

The Ohio State defensive back was recently arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle while under the influence, and he has also been suspended from the team. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

NBC4 Columbus has released the body camera footage, and it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. Police spent several minutes trying to wake Hooker up and nothing was working.

They hit windows, made siren noises and more. None of it appeared to have any impact for several minutes. Eventually, he woke up and was taken out of the car.

In 28 years of life, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an arrest video like that before. Hooker wasn’t violent or a threat in a single way.

He just wouldn’t wake up at all. He just stayed there slumped in the car as the officers tried everything they could to wake him up.

I’ve never seen anything like it before.

Luckily, he wasn’t actually driving. That could have had a terrible outcome given how hard it was for the police to wake him up.

Now, he’ll have to have the situation play out in court as he waits to find out what his status is with the Buckeyes.

Folks, if you indulge in substances, just stay away from vehicles. Trust me, it’s safer for you and everyone else involved.
