With the COVID-19 relief bill passed, President Joe Biden and congressional Democrats are turning their attention toward infrastructure spending. However, some surprising things might end up in the expected bill.

Although they have not yet released a full legislative proposal, interviews and fact sheets suggest Democrats are preparing to shower about $2 trillion on favored interest groups, including unions, public schools and colleges and green energy companies. They are expected to do so in part by raising taxes for the first time since 1993.
