After Georgia Republicans passed an election integrity law in late March, MLB announced it would move the 2021 All-Star Game out of Atlanta amid a wave of opposition to the law from Delta Airlines, Coca-Cola and other companies.

Republicans have been unified in their opposition to this move. Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp released a statement saying the MLB “caved to fear, political opportunism and liberal lies.” Former President Donald Trump called for a boycott while Republican senators floated ending antitrust immunity for the league.
