The feud between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier escalated in a big way Monday morning.

The Irish-born sensation and Poirier have traded some shots after the latter claimed McGregor never made good on the promise to donate $500,000 to his foundation. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

McGregor responded by stating that the money never showed up because Poirier couldn’t provide a plan for the cash.

Well, the fight is now apparently off. McGregor tweeted late Monday morning, “You’re ripped you inbred hillbilly. Why do you wink with your ears? You f**king brain dead hillbilly. 500k with no plan in place. Ye hang tight. Fool. You must be new to money. The fight is off btw. I’m going to fight someone else on the 10th. Good luck on your old contract kid.”

I would pay a lot of money right now to be on the phone with Dana White to hear how this situation is unfolding.

A few hours ago, the July 10th fight looked like it was going to be awesome as hype continued to build. Now, it’s apparently off because McGregor is incredibly upset.

Dana White has to smooth over whatever ruffled feathers there might be because this fight damn sure has to happen now. Things have gone way too far to be walked back from the edge at this point.
