“The competition level in practice was almost greater than the game because, you know, you’re going up against all these guys who are future first rounders, future hall of famers, future all-pro, you know, all this talent that’s coming there,” the talented running back explained during a Thursday appearance on ESPN.

Saban has pretty much said the exact same thing himself. In video that leaked of him recruiting, he pointed out that Alabama players go up against better talent in practice than they do in games because the roster is so loaded.

While I don’t like Alabama, I damn sure respect them. What Nick Saban has built in Tuscaloosa is nothing short of incredible. There are NFL players all over the field, and going against those guys every day in practice will get you ready to play in the pros.
