Meghan McCain argued Wednesday that liberal bias was a factor on her own show — ABC’s “The View” — and that was apparent in the stories they chose not to cover.

Cohost Whoopi Goldberg began the show with a few stories that Fox News had been forced to correct, namely reports that President Joe Biden planned to limit red meat consumption and that Vice President Kamala Harris’ book was being handed out to children at the U.S.-Mexico border. But McCain pushed back, saying that Fox News was far from the only problem.

“When people write inaccurate stories, don’t we have an obligation to try as media people, all media people, to bring the news as it is accurate and then check the story before we put them out?” Goldberg asked.

“Yeah. Obviously. I think that on all sides,” McCain replied. “Bear with me on this. I am the token conservative in media, in mainstream media. I am the only conservative woman in all of media, and the reason why there is a token is because the mainstream media only feels like there needs to be one on a show like this, that one person out of five represented means there’s enough conservative media coverage.”

McCain went on to say that often the stories they chose not to highlight said as much about them as the ones they did cover.

“We never once talked about Hunter Biden as a hot topic on this show, whereas Ivanka Trump or Donald Trump Jr. coughed in the wrong direction and it probably would have taken up the first two blocs,” McCain continued.

McCain mentioned her husband, Ben Domenech, and his website The Federalist, saying that conservative-leaning outlets were important because everything else was liberal.

“There’s a reason why Fox is killing it in the ratings and laps everyone else. It’s because it seems like it’s rigged, it’s rigged every place else,” McCain added. “You think Jim Acosta isn’t an activist. I don’t have any trust in people on CNN anymore. I take such umbridge at this entire concept that liberal media — which runs all of media, all of tech, all of entertainment, all of music, all of culture, all of politics, all three branches of government — I’m supposed to feel bad because there’s two things from Fox News that have been inaccurate. Let’s go down the things every day that are inaccurate on CNN and MSNBC and then we’ll talk about fairness in the media.”
